AAO's trust model pairs publisher delegation_type with operator relationship in brand.json. Each JSON file validates alone. The bilateral check that matters is still manual.

IAB Redefining Media Types plans to read skip versus completion from video.skip, skipmin, and skipafter, but those offsets are only defined when skip is 1, and traffic that ships them anyway leaves the classification layer guessing.

An ARTF ADD_METRICS mutation can carry a numeric value and still omit Metric.type, which OpenRTB treats as required; the gRPC response succeeds while the applied bid request is uninterpretable to downstream buyers.

The RTBlint MCP tool validates against the OpenRTB specification unless you pass profile. Google Authorized Buyers adds auction type 3 and requires Imp.ext.billing_id. An agent that calls the tool with defaults gets valid: true on a payload Google rejects.

ARTF lifecycle tells the agent which auction stage you are in, not which OpenRTB document is on the wire. Declaring a bid-response stage while only carrying bid_request sends shading mutations at targets the envelope never included.

AAO put publisher authorization in adagents.json. IAB already had ads.txt, sellers.json, and schain. OpenRTB carries only the last one.

OpenRTB 2.x sends the Native request as a string inside imp.native.request. Skip the second parse and you bid without assets.

The deprecated video.placement integer and its replacement video.plcmt use different AdCOM lists that do not map 1:1. Copying the same number on both fields mislabels muted outstream as instream.
