The standard Java URI library (java.net.URI) is based on the outdated RFC 2396 and lacks compliance with the modern RFC 3986, leading to issues like unrecognized underscores in hostnames and errors with IPvFuture hosts. To address these deficiencies, I created the org.czeal.urireference library, which complies with RFC 3986 and offers advanced URI management features such as parsing, resolving, normalizing, and constructing URIs. This solution replaces other outdated or unsupported open-source libraries.
