LegacyHive Zero-Day Exploit for Windows Privilege Escalation
A security researcher has publicly disclosed 'LegacyHive,' a new zero-day privilege escalation exploit affecting fully patched Microsoft Windows systems. The proof-of-concept (PoC) abuses a flaw in the Windows User Profile Service to gain read access to another user's data, including application settings and Explorer history. No CVE has been assigned, and no patch is currently available, leaving systems vulnerable to information gathering and further attacks.
