We need to adjust quickie posts to properly not count full URLs for characters. I know Twitter traditionally capped these at 17 chars regardless of length — we'll want to do something similar along those lines.

I think we're definitely going to want to support inline markdown syntax like backticks for code snippets etc. But we don't want to fully support markdown as we have full posts for rich content. But doing all this in a non-confusing way is key.
